Security is an issue that NZ-ID Solutions is well versed in. There are always people who will try to enter your event or venue, or obtain additional services, without having purchased the right to do so.

We have managed identification solutions for some of Australia’s biggest indoor and outdoor events and venues, and understand your concern about security. The key to managing security is to have a clear plan on how you will identify guests and staff members.

NZ-ID Solutions can work with you to determine the best combination of wristbands and lanyards that will maintain security at your event or venue. This may entail different colours, different designs and different materials. Use our wristband customiser to experiment with designs, and our in-house graphic designer can also assist here. Keep in mind that some types of wristband can be replicated at short notice, so when viewing our products, check the security rating of each - the more unique your wristband is, harder it is to replicate and the more secure your event is.

For general needs our standard wristband products are suitable. These include:

For single day use, we highly recommend our Tvek wristbands. These are very economical and NZ-ID Solutions are the only company in New Zealand or Australia who actually manufacture these wristbands. Commonly thought of as ‘paper’ wristbands, they are actually a synthetic polyethylene material. Cut out the middle man, and order direct from the designer and manufacturer of Tyvek Wristbands.

For multiday use, we highly recommend our straight-wave plastic wristbands, wide-faced vinyl wristbands or high security woven ID wristbands. All these wristbands are suitable for day or night events, comfortable and can be sequentially numbered and customised. For event and security staff, , you might prefer to use lanyards as an identification tool.
   

For events and venues where security is mission-critical. consider use of our woven wristbands and RFID wristbands.

Our woven wristbands are almost 100% forgery proof. Using a special crimping tool the wristband is applied to the guest in a secure fashion, yet the wristband remains comfortable, attractive and is made of such high quality that the wristband is generally then kept as a souvenir.

NZ-ID Solutions is pleased to also offer wristbands that utilise RFID technology. The wristbands actually have a ‘chip’ embedded in them that you can use to store data in i.e. financial transactions to allow your guests to make purchases without carrying money, or can be used to provide you wih other identification data for additional security.

Additional tips to maintain security at your event

1. Keep your identification solutions quiet as long as possible. Information about these should be on a ‘need to know’ basis only.

2. Utilise a variety of colours, designs, materials to identify guests. Treat this decision as important, not a last minute consideration.

3. Ensure your team is trained thoroughly on identifying wristbands and lanyards and know what to look for in terms of forgeries or other security breach strategies. NZ-ID Solutions can provide this training.

4. Be creative with your ID solutions – the more unique they are, the less likely they can be replicated.
